Jeremy Pinkerton Regatta Report (4/9-4/10)
Princeton sailing competed in Annapolis this past weekend at the Jeremy A. Pinkerton Memorial Regatta. The regatta was sailed in Flying Juniors and consisted of eight teams, all from the MAISA conference. Saturday’s conditions were excellent with a 12-15 knot Westerly which allowed for 6 races to be completed for both fleets. Oscillating shift patterns made for tight racing with plenty of opportunities to climb through the fleet each race. Robert Rubin ‘23 and Eddie O’Keefe ‘25 as well as Bracklinn Williams ‘25 and Virginia Cobbs ‘25 navigated the shifts well, consistently improving their results throughout the day. Sunday brought similar conditions to Saturday for the final 4 races of the event. A notable event for Princeton Sailing, as this event was sailed exclusively by Student-Athletes who learned to sail at Princeton. A busy week to follow for the program as Princeton Sailing will be competing in three events next weekend.
