Philly Fleet Race Regatta Report (9/10-11)
Princeton Sailing traveled further down the Delaware River to Sail in the Philly Fleet Race
hosted by Villanova University this past weekend. Sailors Jasper Waldman ‘25 and Eddie
O’Keefe ‘25 skippered our A and B boats while the crew positions were manned by Chai
Mauliola ‘24 and Vincent Nguyen ‘25. Conditions were deemed un-sailable on Saturday leaving
all races to be sailed on Sunday. Sub-optimal but fair sailing conditions arrived on Sunday
giving the fleets enough time to get off three races to complete the series. A well-fought battle
against Webb University left Princeton in second place after the weekend making this Princeton
Sailings’ best opening weekend start in recent history. Coach Fraser is looking forward to
keeping this momentum into next weekend’s regatta The John Quinn Memorial hosted by
Monmouth University. Go Tigers!
