The Oberg Trophy (10/21-22)
Another big weekend for Princeton Sailing! Coach Fraser sent out 2 teams consisting of 15 sailors that would compete in Fleet racing regattas against some of the best programs in both MAISA and NEISA Conferences. For the Oberg Trophy in MIT, sailors left early Friday morning to attend a pre-regatta practice out of the MIT Sailing Pavillion! This regatta is a 3-division fleet race sailed at the historic college sailing pavilion at MIT on the Charles River. A busy race course where 36 boats would be racing around an outer trapezoid racecourse for a total of 14 races in each fleet. Although conditions were wet, windy, and chilly all weekend, Princeton sailors loved traveling up to the Charles River to compete against some of the best sailors in the nation at a venue that will always teach you something new. Sophomore Kate Feiner shared this excitement as she captured the weekend on Princeton Sailing’s Instagram account @princetonsailing. Be sure to join in on the fun and check out our sailors during an event! A huge thank you to Matt, Caroline, and everyone at MIT for hosting our sailors for what was another outstanding trip to sail on the Charles!
