Washington College Team Race Regatta Report (3/19-3/20)
Princeton Sailing took to Washington College in Chestertown, MD this past weekend. Sailors Connor Mraz ‘23, Nelson Chow ‘23 led our team as designated team captains for the weekend’s team race. Boats two and three were sailed by Jasper Waldman ‘25, Calif Chen ‘23, Maxwell Lawrence ‘24, Myles McKnight ‘23 respectively. Our team’s Commodore, Isabella Impalli ‘23, joined us and proved to be an extremely valuable alternate for a flight late on the first day. Conditions were blustery with winds coming out of the South-West blowing a consistent fourteen knots with gusts up to twenty. Tides were high which created a strong current throughout the entirety of the racecourse. Although results could have been much better Coach Fraser was impressed with the amount of grit and heart shown throughout the long seven hour day of racing. Princeton Sailing has lots of takeaways from this weekend’s event and will be working out the kinks and polishing up the maneuvers before next weekend’s Fleet race in Norfolk, VA.
